\u2013 Mrs. Sonia Peixo\u00adto, Gold\u00aden Gate Ken\u00adnel in Brazil \u2013 who didn\u2019t mind to spend hours and more hours, month after month,&nbsp;teach\u00ading me all the points of the stan\u00addard and show\u00ading the faults and qual\u00adi\u00adties of my dogs, help\u00ading me to find a good stud sire for my bitch\u00ades and giv\u00ading me a pic\u00adture how a&nbsp;per\u00adfect dog must&nbsp;be.&nbsp;<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">How\u00adev\u00ader, there are so many breed\u00aders around the world who are not as lucky as I was, and think\u00ading on them, I decid\u00aded to show my inter\u00adpre\u00adta\u00adtion of the stan\u00addard, with as many pho\u00adtos as pos\u00adsi\u00adble, try\u00ading to help&nbsp;the novices to under\u00adstand the stan\u00addard of our so loved&nbsp;breed.&nbsp;<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Remem\u00adber, nobody is able to breed to improve the stan\u00addard.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/american-cocker-spaniel.fr\/en\/standard-us-english\/\">The stan\u00addard is what it is<\/a>.&nbsp;The breed\u00aders must <span class=\"caps\">IMPROVE<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">THEIR<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">DOGS<\/span> to meet the stan\u00addard.&nbsp;That is the goal of any good breed\u00ader and a good dog is the one who is as close as pos\u00adsi\u00adble to the standard's description.&nbsp;<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nev\u00ader for\u00adget some\u00adthing: To breed good dogs you don't need any luck.&nbsp;You need <span class=\"caps\">KNOWLEDGE<\/span>. We have dif\u00adfer\u00adent opin\u00adions about how the per\u00adfect cock\u00ader head should be. That is the big dilemma!<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The \"plush lovers\" say the skull of the sport\u00ading heads aren't round enough and the foreface is too&nbsp;long.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And the \"sport\u00ading lovers\" say the plush heads' foreface is too short and some\u00adtimes the eyes are too round. And they nev\u00ader will be able to work on the fields because they couldn't car\u00adry a&nbsp;bird.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I like the plush head bet\u00adter and as I think the head is so impor\u00adtant, I do my best to breed dogs with plush ones.&nbsp;I am what peo\u00adple call a \"head hunter\".&nbsp;It is quite dif\u00adfi\u00adcult for me to like a dog with\u00adout a plush head. But you will be able to get plush heads in two gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtions.&nbsp;You will use your bitch to a plush male, hold the best head\u00aded girl and use her again to a plush male. But how do we know if the pup\u00adpy will have a hard back in the future or will keep the curved (roached) back? In their opin\u00adion;&nbsp;A <span class=\"caps\">SHOW<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">DOG<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">MUST<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">MOVE<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">FASTER<\/span> and that is&nbsp;all.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Anoth\u00ader <span class=\"caps\">VERY<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">IMPORTANT<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">THING<\/span>: Time after time we have in our breed dogs that become great win\u00adners, espe\u00adcial\u00adly because they are great movers.&nbsp;It is a great plea\u00adsure to watch them fly\u00ading around the ring, but when you pay atten\u00adtion to their struc\u00adture \u2014 ugly head, nar\u00adrow front and rears, very long back, you real\u00adize that dog is noth\u00ading more than a&nbsp;mover.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">I believe you've already noticed that there are some top mod\u00adels who aren't that beau\u00adti\u00adful.&nbsp;In fact you can't under\u00adstand why they are so famous, but when they see them in the \"fash\u00adion shows\" you notice they have some\u00adthing dif\u00adfer\u00adent, they have all the \"eyes\" on them.&nbsp;It is \"the flash\", it is what we say in the dog world \"show atti\u00adtude\".&nbsp;And you can be sure the same hap\u00adpens to the&nbsp;dogs.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span class=\"dquo\">\"<\/span>The flash\" is a great thing to a han\u00addler.&nbsp;One dog who is a great mover and has flash is half way to become a <span class=\"caps\">BIS<\/span> win\u00adner, but to a breed\u00ader <span class=\"caps\">THAT<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">CAN<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">NOT<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">BE<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">SO<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">IMPORTANT<\/span>. Of course I like a dog who is able to move cor\u00adrect\u00adly, but it <span class=\"caps\">MUST<\/span> <span class=\"caps\">HAVE<\/span> oth\u00ader qual\u00adi\u00adties. Of course, he can't do that, so what does he do?
